Larry Jay Greene

Lenoir, NC ? Mr. Larry Jay Greene, age 55, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Larry was born in Caldwell County on January 29, 1957 to Jay Horace Greene and Helen Wheeler Greene. He was married to Sherry Greene. Larry was a simple man and a hard worker. He loved the simple things in life, especially his family, the outdoors, racing and especially deer hunting with his father and his son. Larry was never without a smile and he will truly be missed by many. In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by his children, Brandy Greene and Nickolas Greene; sister, Jennifer Greene; niece, Spencer Childress and nephew, Ben Childress. A celebration of Larry?s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 1:30 PM with Pastor Paul Dula officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Mike Rector, Darrell Douglas, Ben Childress, Leonard Kincaid, Troy Greene, Boyd Greene, John Link, Alan Greene and Grant Faw. Honorary pallbearers will be Caldwell Freight Lines friends. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:30 prior to the service.
