Lamar Debon Leisey

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Lamar Debon Leisey, age 77, of Lenoir, died Monday, March 12, 2007 in Gateway Nursing Center. Born March 6, 1930 in Pennsylvania, Mr. Leisey was a son of the late William Royer and Edith Mabel Eshleman Leisey and the husband of Mrs. Eleanore ?Ellie? Gunther Hartman Leisey of the home. Mr. Leisey was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah?s Witnesses where he served as a Ministerial Servant. He worked for many years as a plaster mason and in later years worked as a security officer for Broyhill Furniture with over 16 years of service. Other than his wife, he is survived by three step-daughters, Jacquelyn Slizewski and husband Donald and Kelly Bought, all of Granite Falls; Kimberly Johnson and husband Dennis of Englewood, FL; 3 step-sons, Ted Hartman of Lenoir; Eugene Hartman of Indianapolis, IN; David Hartman of Bradenton, FL; two sisters, Barbara Holder of Barnwell, SC; Gail McFarland of Pottsdown, PA; two brothers, Marlin Leisey of Estoria, OR; Gary Leisey of Circleville, OH; 24 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted 3:00 PM Saturday, March 17, 2007 in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah?s Witnesses. Ron Yunker will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service.
