Kylee Delaine Walker

Hudson, NC – Kylee Delaine Walker, age 4, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Levine Children’s Hospital after a long battle with Neuroblastoma cancer. Kylee was surrounded by her family, friends and the loving staff at the hospital. She was born in Burke County on March 23, 2009 to Michael Walker and Misty Barker. In addition to her parents she is survived by her sisters, Cierra Vess, and Cidney Vess; brothers, Casey Vess, Michael Walker, Jr., and Grayson Walker; grandparents, Brian and Susan Presnell; Steve and Kim Barker; Kathy and Tim Scott; and Junior Walker; and numerous aunts, uncles and many other loving friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Levine Children’s Hospital and to Dr. Jennifer Pope for their excellent care and love shown to Kylee and her family during their lengthy stay. A celebration of Kylee’s life will be held at Crossroads Community Church on Saturday, June 15 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Rick Bowman and Pastor Freddy Stapleton officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Casey Vess, Steve Barker, Mike Walker, and Brian Presnell. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Walker, Jr., Grayson Walker and Brian Presnell II. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Friday, June 14, 2013 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM.
