Kevin Lee Hawkins

Kevin Lee Hawkins, 68, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour unexpectedly on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at his residence.

Kevin was born on July 31, 1956 to Betty Holman Hawkins and the late Edward Wayne Hawkins.

Kevin is survived by his wife Hope; daughter, Melanie Hatcher (Dave) of Brentwood, TN., son, Justin Price of Bluff City, TN.; grandchildren, Janie, Annalee, David; mother, Betty Hawkins; and brother, Gary Hawkins.  He was also survived by two nieces, a nephew, several cousins, and several close friends that he considered as family.

Kevin was a kind and loving husband to his wife, a proud dad, and pawpaw who loved his family very much.  He was a faithful member of West Lenoir Baptist Church where he enjoyed singing in the church choir.

A service to honor Kevin’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at West Lenoir Baptist Church at 12:00 PM with Pastor Rick Safriet officiating.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the church. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir.

The family respectfully requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Hurricane Helene Relief Funds in Western NC, State Employees Credit Union Family House in Winston Salem, or The American Diabetes Association in memory of Kevin.
