Kermit L. Watson

Kermit L. Watson Hudson, NC- Mr. Kermit Lafayette Watson, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. He was born in Watauga County on April 14, 1934 to the late Everette Watson and Louisa Greene Ritch. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his late wives, Lavonda Banner Watson and Guynell Justice Watson; brother, Cecil Watson; and sisters, Estelle Phillips and Frances Hall. He is survived by his daughters and their husbands, Debbie and Terry Brawley; Sheila and Carl Hefner; Carla and Nolan Smith; a very special friend, Loree Seagle; sisters, Violet Huffman, Shirley Reeder, and Edith Lackey; brother, Dennis Ritch; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his special pet, Buddy. The funeral service for Mr. Watson will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Gary Garner officiating. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Clark Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service.
