Kenyda Natasha Bowers

Lenoir – Ms. Kenyda ”Buck” Natasha Bowers, age 39, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Carolinas Medical Center Main. She was born February 27, 1979 to Dorothea and Jay Lee Whittington of Lenoir. Ms. Bowers was a loving, caring and devoted daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend to all that knew and loved her. She was a class of 1998 graduate of Hibriten High School. Her hobbies included traveling, cruising and spending time with her most favorite person, her mother; and each and every one of her family members and friends and just enjoying every moment of life. She was preceded in death by a brother, Deon Tremaine Bowers; grandparents, Clyde and Toye Bowers and Willie Mae Michaux and one aunt, Pansy James. Those left to cherish her memories, in addition to her parents, are her two sisters, Deidra Bowers (Whitney) and Billie Jo Scott (Casey); one brother, Brooks Bowers; five nephews, Bradley Cash, Kalen Bowers, Whitney Simon II, Za’Karion and Zachariah Tugman; seven nieces, Khileigh Bowers, Kadejah and Zaleigha Tugman, Kayberee Hill, Brooklyn Wilson, Adaya and Kensley Bowers; her very special cousin, Stephon I. James; her special friend of 22 years, Jeff Martin; six uncles, Clyde Bowers, Quincy Bowers, Robert Michaux, Jerome Michaux, Mikey Michaux, Albert Michaux; two great-uncles, John James and Gene Bowers; five aunts, Mamie and Lucinda Bowers, Eva Walker, Wendy Low, Tonya Michaux; three great-aunts, Joycene Dula, Bessie Patterson, Katy Denny; and a host of cousins and special friends. A celebration of Ms. Bowers life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Darlene Stokes officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 prior to the service and at other times at the residence of Dorothea and Jay Lee Whittington at 3061 Warrior Road.
