Kenneth 'Chub' Roberts

Lenoir – Kenneth Marvin Roberts “Chub”, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Caldwell Hospice. He was born in Caldwell County on December 28, 1942 to the late Earn Roberts and Edith McRary Roberts. Chub was a member of Union Baptist Church. He loved his dogs and building model airplanes. He also enjoyed doing mechanical work, operating heavy equipment and camping. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Dixie Whisnant. He is survived by his children, Sandy Roberts, Marisa Hamby, Kenny Roberts and Todd Roberts; sisters, Wanda Angel and Janice Roberts; brothers, Charles Roberts, Harold Roberts and Thomas Roberts; grandchildren, Amber Hilderbrand and Jada Roberts; and great-grandchildren, Addison Hilderbrand and Conner Hilderbrand. A private memorial service will be held by the family.
