Kenneth Dale Greene

Ken Greene of Lenoir, NC went to be with his Lord just before his 73rd birthday. A selfless servant. A helpful neighbor. A hard worker. A devoted father and grandfather. A believer. Ken was all of those things and so much more. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He took great pride in helping others. He chopped wood and delivered it to needy people in his community to heat their homes, built wheelchair access ramps for disabled people, helped widows care for their yards and volunteered at the Lenoir Soup Kitchen. Ken took a mission trip to Romania a little over a year ago to help rebuild an orphanage for a ministry that helps disenfranchised people. Born April 1, 1950 to Millard and Pansy Cornett Greene, Ken was a devoted father of two and grandfather who adored his family and a loyal friend to many. A hardworking brick mason, he took immense pride in his life’s work and went out of his way to make sure the job was perfect and believed in always giving 110%. Ken is survived by his daughter, Dawn Millard, her husband, Glen Millard, his son, Nick Greene and grandson, Garrett Icard. The family will receive visitors on April 7th from 1pm to 2:30pm at Union Grove Baptist Church in Lenoir, NC with the service starting at 2:30pm.
