Kenneth Burchhette

Kenneth Gene Burchette, 62, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. He was born in Ashe County on March 13, 1954 to the late Eugene Burchette and Deomie Wagner Burchette. He was married for 43 years to Margaree Stallman Burchette and will be remembered as a hard-working, loving husband and father. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth “Kenny” Gene Burchette, Jr.; daughter, Tina Marie Woods; sister, Frances Sturgill and brother, Larry Burchette. Other than his wife, he is survived by his children, Stephanie Robbins and husband, Matt; Sherry Hamby and husband, Junior; Margaree “Deedee” Huggins and husband, Louis; Stephen Burchette and fiancée, Emma; and Stacey Burchette; brother, Michael Burchette; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one expecting. A celebration of Kenneth’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 3:30 PM with Pastor Junior Hamby officiating.
