Keith David Philyaw

Collettsville, NC- Mr. Keith David Philyaw, age 42, of Collettsville, passed away at his residence on October 21, 2010. Born on May 9, 1968, Keith was a son of Carroll Philyaw and the late Carolyn Austin Rector. Keith had worked at the Bernhardt furniture plant in the rough mill department. He was a member of the Nazareth Advent Christian Church. In addition to his mother, Keith was preceded in death by his maternal & paternal grandparents. Surviving are his father and step mother, Carroll and Sharon Philyaw of Collettsville; a son, Dustin Shoe of Lenoir; a daughter, Allyssia Philyaw of Wilkesboro; a brother, Scott Philyaw of Collettsville; two half sisters, Julie Parker & family of Lenoir, and Elizabeth Garcia & family of Charlotte; Keith is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of Keith’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Nazareth Advent Christian Church with Reverend Rodney Raby officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 25, 2010, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Nazareth Advent Christian Church.
