Keith Lamone Bivens

Hudson, NC- Mr. Keith Lamone Bivens, age 70, of Hudson, died Wednesday, November 12, 2008 in Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born June 26, 1938 in Caldwell County, Mr. Bivens was a son of the late Carl and Emma Laws Bivens and husband to Betty Puett Bivens of the home to whom he had been married for 53 years. Mr. Bivens was a U.S. Army veteran and retired as a maintenance manager with Broyhill Furniture Company. Surviving other than his wife is his daughter, Debbie Bivens Davis and husband Jack of Lenoir; 2 sons, Vance Bivens and wife Letty of Chino, CA; Ronnie Bivens and wife Sherri of Hudson; 2 sisters, Barbara McCall of Lenoir; Myrnell Haynes of Greensboro; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Wayne (Bub) Bivens and Ray Lee Bivens. A celebration of Mr. Bivens? life will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2008 at Poovey?s Chapel Baptist Church with Reverend Nicky Waters and Reverend Paul Puett officiating.
