Keith Austin

Lenoir- Keith Edward Austin, 57, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Caldwell UNC Hospital.Born January 9, 1965 in Caldwell County to the late David Arnold Austin and Judy Bentley Austin. Keith enjoyed off roading.He loved attending car shows.He loved classic cars, especially Volkswagens.Keith was self-employed as an auto mechanic for many years.His pride and joy was his children and grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Rebecca Stinnet and Lynn Austin; a brother, Michael Austin. Keith is survived by the love of his life and wife of 24 years, Lana Ward Austin; his children, Derek Melton (wife Jessica), Daniel Melton, Bobby Beaver and Aaron Shell; his grandchildren, Madeline, Matthew, Peyton, Gracie and Joshua; a brother, Mark Austin (wife Susan); sisters, Gail and Sherry; he is also survived by numerous other relatives. A memorial service for Keith will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 3:00 PM with Roger Frye officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service.
