Katrine Marie Nelson

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Katrine “Cookie” Marie Phillips Nelson, age 54, of Lenoir, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born May 30, 1958, in Ashe County, Katrine was a daughter of Charles and Betty Edwards Phillips. Katrine was a great artist and enjoyed painting and crafts. She was family oriented and kind hearted. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 31 years, Dudley Nelson of the Home; one sister, Beverly Ann Phillips; one brother, Steven Wesley Phillips; a niece, Kayla Phillips; a nephew, Logan Phillips; and her beloved yorkies, Molly, Lucy and Sadie Ann. A celebration of Katrine’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the Confidence Advent Christian Church, 4040 Confidence Church Road, Lenoir at 2:30 PM with Reverend Norm Sherwood officiating. Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir.
