Kathy Schroeder Hart

Granite Falls – Kathleen Schroeder Hart, age 49, of Granite Falls, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior, October 2, 2014 at her home after a courageous battle with recurrent ovarian cancer.Kathy was born December 30, 1964 to Betty Mesker Schroeder and the late Norbert Schroeder in Leipsic, Ohio.Kathy was married to John F. Hart, Jr. April 13, 1985, who survives. Kathy loved her family, friends, and church family and was a testimony of God’s love in the way she loved others.She was passionate about homeschooling Philip and Daphne. Surviving other than her husband, John and her mother are Kathy’s children, Philip Hart and wife Lauren of Granite Falls and daughter, Daphne, of the home.Also surviving are her brothers Tom Schroeder and wife Marge of Reading, MI; Joe Schroeder of Leipsic, OH; Steve Schroeder and wife Julie of Leipsic, OH and Charlie Schroeder of Reading, MI.Her sisters who survive are Carol Lawson and husband Phil of Finley, OH; Sharon Inkrott and husband Nick of Leipsic, OH and Susie McCullough and husband Larry of Pandora, OH.Her father-in-law and mother-in-law, J. Felix and Geneva Hart of Lenoir, NC also survive along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of Kathy’s life will be conducted in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service at 7:00 PM Monday, October 6, 2014 with her Pastor/Husband John officiating. The family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Service prior to the service on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials be sent to John and Kathy’s ministry, Life Application Fellowship, 53 Grandview Street, Granite Falls, NC 28638.
