Kathy Corpening

Mrs. Kathy Brown Corpening, age 62, of Lenoir went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at her home. Born April 17, 1956 in Caldwell County, Kathy was a daughter of the late Rev. E.L. and Martha Wolfe Brown.She was a member of Miller Hill Baptist Church.Kathy will be remembered as loving, humble and joyful.She cared about others and was never known to complain.One of the things she enjoyed most was the time spent with her nieces and nephews. Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Mason Kelly Corpening of Lenoir; her brother, Tim Brown (wife Debra) of Lenoir; two sisters, Sue Stevens (husband Mark) of Morganton and Cheryl Bare (husband Ron) of Lenoir; she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Douglas Prevette officiating.Interment will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Lee Bare, Joseph Brown, Joshua Moody, Ryan Patterson, Malcolm Paxton and Hunter Pitts. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
