Kathleene "Kitty" Hollingsworth Clark Clonch

Kathleene “Kitty” Hollingsworth Clark Clonch, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024 at College Pines Health with her family by her side. She was born in Buncombe County to the late Edward and Geneva McMahan Hollingsworth.

Kitty worked in the local retail jewelry business for many years, primarily at Wooten Jewelers. After Wooten closed their store she went to work for Paxar Printed Labels, where she worked until her retirement. In her spare time she loved working in her garden and caring for her cats.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Duane “Buddy” Clark and Floyd Clonch; brother, Crayton Smith of Georgia; her former father and mother in-law, Bruce E. Clark and Mary A. Clark;

Kitty is survived by her daughter, Kathleene “Kitt” Clark Gunter and husband, Brian and their daughter, Avery; her son, Duane Clark and wife, Christi and their children, Avery and wife, Chloe; and daughter, Natalie; and brother, Ed Hollingsworth and wife, Sandy.

A celebration of Kitty’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 2:00 PM. Burial will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
