Kathleen Woods

Mrs. Kathleen Triplett Woods, age 67, of Lenoir passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Duke Hospital in Durham. Born October 19, 1949 in Akron, Ohio, Kathleen was a daughter of the late John and Virginia Elkins McLean. Kathleen was a nurse for 44 years at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. She spent her life helping others. She enjoyed cooking and looking at the beautiful mountains, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her grand-pets. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mikeal “Ripshin” Franklin Woods; and a sister, Janet Billings. She is survived by two children, Callie Trivette (husband Andy) of Lenoir and Johnathon Earp of Sylva; a step daughter, Dawn Brown (husband Scott) of Lenoir; three sisters, Debbie, Paula and Becky; five grandchildren, Megan, Ella, William, Grayson and Molly; she is also survived by numerous other relatives and close friends.
