Katherine Parker

Katherine “Kathy” Parker, 62, of Lenoir passed away on October 17, 2022. Kathy was born in Caldwell County on January 14, 1960 to the late Clifford and Louise Woodruff. Kathy earned her cosmetology certificate and worked as a cosmetologist for many years. After her time as a cosmetologist, she worked for Thomasville and Kincaid Furniture Companies. Kathy was married to the late Allan Parker for 29 years. She had an enormous love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kathy loved the outdoors, spending time gardening and taking care of her flowers; she loved going to Gatlinburg and enjoying the mountains and just being away. She will be dearly missed by her many family members and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Kathy is preceded in death by her son, Allen Parker, Jr. Those left to cherish Kathy’s memory include: her daughter, April Vinson and husband Steven; daughter, Jennifer Parker and her significant other Todd Hartley; her grandchildren: Tabitha Vinson, Parker Vinson, Jackie Fleenor and husband Ethan, Julie Crane, Jessica Crane and Seth Critcher; her great-grandchildren: Bailey Byrd, Jace Bledsoe, Josiah Bledsoe, Jocelyn Parker, Ryder Fleenor, and soon arriving Baby Fleenor. She is, also, survived by her siblings: Wayne Woodruff and wife Melissa and Sherry Robbins and husband Lloyd. She leaves behind numerous other beloved family members and friends. There will be a celebration of life held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 24, 2022 Evans Funeral Chapel, Rev. Ed Warren and Donna McCall will be officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Evans Funeral Service is proudly serving the family of Katherine Parker.
