Kasey Nipper

Kasey Lee Nipper, age 61, passed away Tuesday, September 18th at his residence. Born August 3, 1957 in Knoxville, Tennessee. The family moved to Lenoir in the early 1960s when his father became the publisher of the Lenoir News-Topic. Kasey was raised in Lenoir and graduated from Lenoir High School. He worked in the landscaping and construction industries but his real love was production work for live musical performances. He’ll be remembered by all for his spontaneous smile. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard Earl Nipper and Arlette Papot Nipper. He is survived by his son Judson Corpening, sister Teresa Hartley and brother-in-law Robey Hartley, nephews Drew Hartley and Colin Hartley and niece Courtney Hartley. Mr. Nipper was interned at Blue Ridge Memorial Park on Sunday, September 23rd. A celebration of his life will take place on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 5:00 PM at the Hickory VFW.
