Karen Smith

Mrs. Karen Boggs Smith, age 62, of Lenoir passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at her home. Born November 17, 1955 in Wilmington, NC, Karen was the daughter of the late Thomas Carlisle and Ruby Reece Boggs.She attended Whitnel Pentecostal Holiness Church.She enjoyed playing on her phone, especially My Talking Tom and Facebook.She enjoyed going dancing at the Moose Lodge.One of the things she enjoyed most was going to the beach.In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Smith; a brother, James “Jimmy” Boggs; and a grandson, Caleb Michael Causby. Survivors include her daughters, Ashley Beaty of Hudson, Heather Wilson of Lenoir, Kimberly Smith (fiancé Josh Faulkner) of Marion and Amber Smith of Lenoir; two brothers, Thomas Boggs, Jr. of Florida and Edward Boggs of Texas; her grandchildren, Travis Gates, Katie Whisnant, Neva Faulkner and Kirby Daxx Wilson; she is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends. A celebration of Karen’s life will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 3:00 PM at the Lenoir Community Church with Pastor Daniel McGee officiating.
