Junie Mae Patterson

Mrs. Junie Mae Lindon Patterson, age 88, of Lenoir, passed away at Caldwell UNC Healthcare on Thursday, April 13, 2017. Born March 31, 1929 in Caldwell County, Junie was a daughter of the late Clarence and Fannie Bell Ferguson Lindon. Junie worked at Singer Furniture for 35 years and was a member of Mt. Bethel AME Church. She enjoyed word puzzles and was a member of the Soul Singing Caravan gospel group. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifard Patterson; two sons, Ralph “Buster” Lindon and Darius Patterson; and three brothers, Henry Clay Lindon, Ernest Lindon and Louis Lindon. Survivors include her children, Eric Patterson (wife Cindy) and Junie Inece Patterson; two sisters, Jessie Jones and Annie Denny; she is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives. A celebration of Junie’s life will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service. Interment will follow in the Patterson Grove Cemetery.
