Juanita Bush Setzer

Mrs. Juanita Bush Setzer, age 85, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Hickory Village. She was born in Caldwell County on May 20, 1935 to the late Ralph and Hazel Bush. Juanita was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a long-time member of Lower Creek Baptist Church where she loved to work with the children of the church. Caring for children was her passion. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Thomas Justin Setzer; son, Reggie Setzer; and brother, Newland “Sonny” Bush and wife, Janie. She is survived by her children, Teresa Mozo of Jacksonville, FL; Keith Setzer and wife, Kim; and Dawn Setzer; grandchildren, Allison Price; Heather Setzer; Madison Setzer; Dustin Helton and wife, Anna; Cameron Helton and wife, Kendall; and Baylee Gordon; great-grandchildren, Lucas Price; Joshua Price, Liam Helton and Savannah Helton; Juanita’s sisters, Carolyn Bush; Linda Spicer and Pixie Bush. A private graveside service celebrating Juanita’s life will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be sent to Lower Creek Baptist Church, 633 Lower Creek Drive, Lenoir, NC 28645.
