Bolivar, New York- Juanita Story Sanders, 73 of Buffalo, N.Y. and formerly of Lenoir, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007 in St. Vincent?s Health Center in Erie, Pa. Born April 26, 1933, in Caldwell County, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Story. Ms. Sanders is survived by her Beloved Friend and Companion, Doug Wightman of Buffalo, N.Y., one daughter Joy Hines of Washington State, two sons, Michael Sanders of Washington State, Lee Sanders of Greenville, SC, three sisters Pat Pilkenton and husband Don, Maggie Miller, all of Lenoir, JoAnne Thomas and husband Garland of Charlotte, one brother, Charley ?Carroll? Story and wife Elizabeth ?Dib? Story of Lenoir and 5 grandchildren. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Dillard Story, Marie Story, Bill Story, Ernest Story, JoVan Story, Lucille S. Simmons, and Ollie Story. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2 PM Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at Blue Ridge Memorial Park, with Rev. Robert Livingston officiating and Michael Thomas, soloist. The family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Service from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 222 S. Church St., Suite 303, Charlotte, NC 28202 Pallbearers are her nephews: Brett Barnes, Douglas Pilkenton, Mike Thomas, Gary Thomas, Ronnie Thomas, and Rick Thomas.
