Juanita Bentley age, 90, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024 at her residence. She was born in McDowell County on June 29, 1934 to the late Charlie Mace and Ruby Jane Willis Mace.
Juanita, “Nanny”, was a very family oriented blessing to all who knew and loved her. Family was a great love of hers. She loved to cook, visit with family and of course, dote on the children. No one ever left her house feeling hungry. Losing an angel, a true matriarch to the family, the glue that held them together has been tough by knowing that she is at peace now and with God is the greatest blessing of all.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Albert Bentley; grandson, Ricky Bentley; three brothers and one sister; three daughters and her son.
Juanita is survived by her children, Rick Bentley; Sharon Bledsoe; Shirley Bentley; James Bentley; Lisa Bentley; Charles Bentley; sisters, Kathy Nichols and Christine Ledford; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Juanita’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Burial will immediately follow the service at Church on the Rock Cemetery, Baker Circle, Sawmills, NC
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 prior to the service.
