Joyce I. King

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Joyce Ivolee Forrester King, age 78, of Lenoir, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at her home. Born July 31, 1938 in Johnson County, TN, Joyce was a daughter of the late, Howard Brown and Dicey Forrester McLoud. She was a member of the Flemmings Chapel Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her babies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Freida Diane King. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Rabon D. King; three sons, Darren King (girlfriend Denise Livingston) and Jimmy King of Lenoir, and Timmy King (wife Lisa) of Hudson; three brothers, Eugene McLoud of High Point, NC, Kay Brown of Mountain City, TN, and Carol McLoud of Lenoir; six grandchildren, Derek King, Tyra Dotson, Dustin Darnell, Tonya King, Chasity Michael and Erica King; she is also survived by seven great grandchildren and numerous other relatives. A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funerals Service with Pastor David Haltom officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Flemings Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Robbie Chester, Kenny Bo Dotson, Mike Drumm, Kendall Gales, Todd King, Todd McLoud, Gary King and Steven King.
