Joshua 'Josh' Todd Kirby

Josh Kirby Lenoir – Joshua Todd Kirby, age 14, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Caldwell County on July 23, 2000 to Jeff and Michelle C. Kirby. Josh was recently home schooled but had previously attended Heritage Christian School. While at Heritage he received an award for his poetry recitation, while competing with students within Caldwell County Schools. His classmates at Heritage remember him for his sense of humor and fun to be around. He was always smiling and joking with his family and friends. Josh professed Jesus Christ as his Savior and he loved his family. He was a faithful and active member of the youth groups of both, Community Baptist Church and Cajah’s Mountain Baptist Church He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronald “Ronnie” J. Collins and grandmother, Evelyn Willis. In addition to his parents he is survived by his grandparents, Joe, Sr. and Gail Kirby; and Linda Collins; sisters, Anna Kirby and Sara Kirby; and brothers, Aaron Kirby and Jonah Kirby. A celebration of Josh’s life will be held at Cajah’s Mountain Baptist Church on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Doug Woody, Pastor Waitsel Beard and Youth Pastor Eddie Richards officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:45 PM prior to the service.
