Josephine Duffey Good

Josephine Duffey Good, age 85, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. She was born in Charlotte County, VA on March 23, 1939 to the late Arthur Duffey and Fannie Newcomb Duffey.

Jo enjoyed attending Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church, loved studying her Bible and was part of an online prayer team. She spent a lot of her time baking and cooking for her family and friends. Spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was the highlight of her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings; son-in-law, Tony Harris; and her grandson, Bryson Harris.

Jo is survived by her daughter, Debbie Harris; son, Darryl Wilcox and wife, Jan; grandchildren, Karen Sheets and husband, Michael; Tony Harris and wife, April; Faith Moore and husband, Derrick; Heather Wilcox; Nicholas Wilcox and wife, Callie; many great-grandchildren and one on the way.

A graveside service celebrating Jo’s life will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 10:00 am with Pastor Nicky Waters officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Pine Mountain Academy, Poovey’s Chapel Church Road, Hudson, NC  28638.
