Joseph Willard Younce

Lenoir, NC – Mr. Joseph Willard Younce, age 65, of Lenoir, went to be with the Lord, Friday, April 12, 2013 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Born March 15, 1948 in Caldwell County, Mr. Younce was a son of the late J.C. and Myrtle Kirby Younce and the husband of Mrs. Rebecca Laws Younce of the home. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marlene Bolick and brother, Kenneth Younce. Mr. Younce had worked in the furniture industry in finishing. He lived for music and was a fantastic musician. Other than his wife, he is survived by two sons, Scott Younce and wife Theresa; Barry Younce and wife Jenny; Sisters, Dot Winkler and husband Larry; Willa Dean Vines and husband Cecil; Sandra Scudder; Carolyn Bentley and husband Roger; Brothers, Ed Younce and wife Sarah; Sammy Younce and wife Lynn; 5 Grandchildren, Bethany Boston, Catherine Younce, Elizabeth Younce, Jared Younce, Braelyn Younce and 10 nieces and 10 nephews. A celebration of Mr. Younce’s life will be held 12:00 Noon, on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Nazareth Advent Christian Church with Reverend Scott Philyaw and Reverend Ronnie Pritchard officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 11:00 until 12:00 Noon at Nazareth Advent Christian Church.
