Lenoir, NC- Mr. Joseph “Joe†Wayne Storie, age 51, of Lenoir, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Born March 24, 1960 in Caldwell County, Joe was the son of the late Mattie “Mae†Bolick Storie and the late Wayne Edmond Storie and the husband of Alicia Ritch Storie of the home. Joe always had an outpouring of love for his children and family members; he loved to play “practical Jokes†on family members in order to put a smile on their faces. He was the “Best Storie†ever told. He was a Brick Mason for the last 35 years. He was an extremely hard working man and co-owned Norris & Storie Construction. Joe was a loving husband, wonderful father and caring brother and uncle to his numerous nieces and nephews. He was a big man with a big heart. Joe always assisted the elderly and children so their needs were met. Surviving other than his wife are his children; Joseph Matthew Storie, Shane Evan Storie, Blake Alexander Dennis; 4 sisters, Christina “Piggy†Marie Storie; Jeanne “Wiener†Christine Reid and husband Barry Denise Storie Smith and husband “Buckâ€; Rebecca Lynn Storie; 2 brothers, Tracy “Lipps†Scott Storie and wife Donna; Stephen R. Storie and wife Karen and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. A service celebrating Joe’s life will be held 3:00 PM Monday, October 10, 2011 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Jim Lee officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 until 3:00 PM, prior to the service and at other times at the residence of Denise and Buck Smith, 106 Windy Oaks Ct., Lenoir, NC.
