Joseph Patterson Joseph “JW” William Patterson, 75, born on October 1, 1943 to Joe “Willie” Patterson Sr. and Rosalee Dula Patterson of Caldwell County passed away on November 3, 2018 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. Mr. Patterson had a special love for playing the piano and singing. Mr. Patterson is preceded in death by his father. In addition to his mother, Mr. Patterson is survived by his wife, Martina Patterson. He, also, is survived by his son, Fritz Colbert and wife Gail of Boomer and his daughter, Theolia Harper of Granite Falls. Mr. Patterson is survived by his sisters: Virginia Williams of Morganton; Margaret Horton and husband Steve of Ferguson; two brothers, Calvin Patterson of Virginia; and Danny Patterson of Lenoir. Mr. Patterson leaves behind six grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. A service will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Dulatown Presbyterian Church at 1:00 pm; officiated by Rev. Monte O. Simmons. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
