Joseph Carlos Mcneill

A memorial service for Joseph Carlos McNeill, Jr. of Statesville, formerly of Lenoir, will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service in Lenoir. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1:00 PM, prior to the service. Mr. McNeill passed away at his home on Saturday, November 13, 2010. He was born on January 17, 1937 in Guilford County, the only child of Olga Eva Davis and Joseph Carlos McNeill of Greensboro. He is survived by his wife, Judy Laws McNeill of Statesville and his children, Joseph Carlos McNeill, III and wife Kay and grandchildren, Kristen, Bonnie and Zack of Lenoir; Timothy Davis McNeill of Lenoir; Patrick Alan McNeill and wife Connie and grandson, Riley of Lenoir; SueAnn Mitchell and husband Steve and grandson, Jacob and wife Sara and great-grandson, Cid of Lenoir. Mr. McNeill was a well known area artist. He was a businessman and owned and operated a photography studio serving the furniture industry for many years. He was more recently retired from a business he owned and operated in Statesville. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to ones favorite charity.
