Joseph "Joe" George Kincaid

March 29, 1933 — April 25, 2022

Joseph George Kincaid of Hudson, NC passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022 at his home. Along with his parents J. Wade Kincaid, Mary Sue Kincaid, and Mable Klutz. Joe was preceded in death by his grandchildren Amber and Ashley Joplin; his brothers James, Dennis, J.W. and Steve Kincaid; and his sisters Jeanette Smith and Jeanelda Smith. He is survived by his daughters Tina and husband Tim Williams; Tyra and husband David Joplin and his son Jody and wife Martha Kincaid; and their mother Betty Kincaid Kanipe. He is survived by his grandchildren: Nathan Joplin and wife Megan, Adam Joplin, Hannah Joplin and partner Greg Watson, and Brandon Williams. Joe is survived by his great-grandchildren: Carson Barrera and Mikah Watson. He is survived by his three sisters: Susan Laney, Rebecca Adderholdt, and Kathy McAteer; one uncle Ben Kincaid; one aunt Louise Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joe graduated from Granite Falls High School where he was a great baseball player. He joined the Army and traveled the world as the pitcher for the Army’s baseball team. After returning home, he went into business with his father. They started Grand Piano Company in Morganton and Kincaid Chair Company in Hudson. He loved to play golf, achieving many holes in one, and loved to play with anyone but especially with his son and brothers. He was proud of his family and grandchildren. The family will host guests at Tyra and David’s home in Hudson on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
