Joseph Elmer Bouvrette Jr., 75, of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away unexpectedly on December 10, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. Joseph was born in Macomb County, MIon September 5, 1946 to the late Joseph Elmer Bouvrette Sr. and Eleanor Alice Bouvrette.He shared a special love with his childhood sweetheart, Judith Lynne Bouvrette, and God blessed them with 56 years of marriage. Joe was a devoted husband, loving father and proud grandfather who loved fiercely with his whole heart. His generous and jovial spirit was evident to all who had the pleasure of knowing him, his contagious laughter will surely be missed by all who loved him. Joe was a lifetime sportsman who had a passion for trap shooting, leaving him a two-time veteran champion of North Carolina. For more than 40 years, Joe owned and enjoyed operating Bouvrette Electric, Inc. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Joseph Tamron Bouvrette; and his sister, Mitzie Muter. Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Judith Lynne Bouvrette; loving daughter, Cristy Lynne Sweeney and son-in-law, Jay William Sweeney; precious grandchildren, Austin Jay Sweeney and Taylor JayLyn Sweeney; and sister, Marylou Peryek. A celebration of Joe’s life will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Living Hope Church in Cajah’s Mountain with Pastor Keith Gilliam and Pastor David Crisp officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Interment will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir.
