Johnsie Powell Truesdale

Johnsie Powell Truesdale, age 91, has gone to her Heavenly home to celebrate with her loved ones.  Born in Caldwell County to Roy and Lula Powell, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Ronald Leslie Truesdale; her brothers; Dan Powell, Fred Powell, Mack Powell and sisters; Evelyn Mabe, Elizabeth Powell, and Ruth Osborne.

She was a wonderful wife and mother and will be missed by her husband, Bill Truesdale of 71 years of marriage.  She made many friends during her beauty shop days and will be sorely missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by daughters, Melissa Bell and Kaye Mabe (Johnny); son, Terry Truesdale (Cheryl); grandsons, Jasen Truesdale, Shane Bell, Matthew Mabe, Jesse Mabe, Ethan Hefner, Seth Hefner, and 14 great grandkids.  She loved them all.

A special thanks to Amorem Hospice, who has helped more than you know.  Kelly Chapman and Ashley Sutton have been angels from above, and Cookie Bradshaw who has been constant in her love for our mom.

The family will have a visitation for friends on Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service.

The family respectfully requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer Foundation or to Amorem Hospice.
