Johnny Rufus Church

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Johnny Rufus Church, age 62, of Lenoir, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, May 23, 2007. Born July 14, 1944 in Caldwell County, Mr. Church was a son of the late John W. and Lacey Mae Dula Church and the husband of Mary Ann Austin Church of the home. Mr. Church was a member of Yadkin Baptist Church and owner/operator of Church?s Digging and Trenching. Surviving other than his wife are three sons, Daryel Winston Church of Hudson; John Thomas Church and wife Stephanie of Granite Falls; Jason Ray Church of Lenoir; two brothers, Dwain Monroe Church and wife Dorothy and Ronnie Douglas Church and wife Vickie both of Lenoir and 5 Grandchildren, Jacob, Eric, Christopher, Kaylie and Drinda. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Dwight Thomas Church. A celebration of Mr. Church?s life will be held 2:00 PM Friday, May 25, 2007 at Yadkin Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Livingston officiating. Private graveside services will be held in the Yadkin Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the Celebration of Life Service.
