Johnny Gibbons Hudson – Johnny Gibbons, age 76 passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Frye Regional Medical Center.He was born in Caldwell County on November 23, 1941 to the late John “Jack” Gibbons, Jr. and Johnsie Lingle Gibbons. He worked in law enforcement for more than 30 years.His passion was to be outdoors either scuba diving, jumping out of airplanes, hiking in Linville Gorge or tracking with his bloodhounds. Johnny is survived by his daughter Mimi Hagan and husband Gary of Chapel Hill, his longtime caregiver Judy Hendrix of Hudson, cousins, Robert and Carolyn Lingle of Hudson, Skip and Davanna Downs of Hudson, James and Constance Lingle of Hickory, NC and Etonna and Stuart McDade of Hudson, NC. A memorial service for Johnny will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hudson on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 receiving will be at 11am and service will start at 12pm.
