Johnny Ray Dula

Ray Dula Ferguson, NC – Johnny Ray Dula, age 76, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Caldwell County on June 16, 1937 to the late Jefferson Dula and Rosetta Taylor Dula. He was married to Vera Smith Dula of the residence for 33 years. Mr. Dula retired from Broyhill Occasional Plant #1 after 26 years of service. He was a member of the Adult Men’s Sunday School Class at Piney Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Iris Key and Doris Price. Other than his wife he is survived by his brother, J.C. Dula and wife, Corina; brother-in-laws, Michael Smith and wife, Peggy and Sonny Smith; sister-in-law, Helen Green; great-great-nephews, Israel Hendrix and Preston Shell; and many other nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Mr. Dula will be held at Piney Grove Baptist Church on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jerry Reeves officiating.
