John Wilson

Lenoir- John Daniel Wilson, age 59, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Gateway Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Chicago, IL on September 14, 1962 to the late Genevieve Wilson. He was married to Ginger Jones Wilson of the residence. John was a loving husband, father and PawPaw. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going fishing and visiting Charleston as often as he could. He was an avid fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks and Appalachian State Mountaineers. John worked for more than 10 years at Stallergenes Greer and enjoyed spending time there with his work family. John loved the Lord and often shared his faith with those he met. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruth and Sam Wilson. Other than his wife, John is survived by his daughters, Raven Horton and Brooklyn Wilson; grandchildren, Kilynn and Brilyn Audrey; close family members, David Eller; Coye Wilson, Jr.; and Wayne Wilson, Jr.; and numerous other family members. A celebration of John’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Tony Harris officiating. Interment will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
