John Lester Weaver

John Weaver, Sr. Morganton-Mr. John Lester Weaver, Sr., age 77, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Burke Hospice. He was born in Caldwell County on May 18, 1938 to Ruth McCall Weaver and the late Les Weaver. He was married to Ruth Weant Weaver of the home for more than 49 years. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Leah Briann Weaver. Other than his wife and mother he is survived by his son, John L. Weaver, Jr. and wife, Allison; daughter, Lisa W. Robinson and husband, Jeff; brother, David Weaver and wife, Betty; sister, Rachel Bley; grandchildren, Jonathan Weaver, Julie Anna Weaver and Jorgia Weaver. A celebration of Mr. Weaver’s life will be held at Flemings Chapel Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 4:00 PM with Pastor Lester Honson officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 prior to the service.
