John Clayton Ritch

Lenoir – John Ritch, 67, went to be with the Lord on January 25, 2019 at Caldwell Hospice Care of Lenoir. John was born to the late Glenn and Gaye Ritch, of Lenoir, on August 12, 1951 in Caldwell County. John was married to Betty Ritch for 40 years. He was an active member of Lenoir Community Church for many years. John, in addition to his parents, is preceded in death by his sons Calvin Jerry Reid II and Jeffery Michael Wayne. In addition to his wife, John is survived by his sons Timothy Cobb; Thaddeus Ritch and wife, Leveda; and J.T. Ritch. John is survived by two grandchildren, Lily Ritch and Waylon Ritch. John leaves behind his sisters, Joyce McMillan and Marina Trivette; and one brother, Bill Ritch. There will be a celebration of life held at Lenoir Community Church on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 6:00 pm; officiating will be Pastor Daniel McGee and Pastor Rocky Dula. The family will receive friends immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude’s Hospital or Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care of Lenoir at 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
