John Richard Putignano

John Richard Putignano, 59 of Lenoir, North Carolina passed away peacefully on November 26, 2021 after a 20 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. John was born on June 3, 1962 in Stoughton, Massachusetts to the late Donald (Sonny) and Judith (Sampson) Putignano.He was raised in Brockton Massachusetts. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Sharon (Muncy) Putignano; and a sister, Jo Spillane. John was an avid New England Sports fan and enjoyed watching the Patriots game each Sunday. John is survived by his children, John Putignano of Seekonk, MA and Marissa Whisnant; stepdaughter, Morgan Asbury of Taunton, MA; sisters, Lisa Foos of Brockton, MA, Laurie Putignano of Whitman, MA, Dawn Putignano of Brockton, MA.; three grandchildren, Maiyalene, Jonathan, and Rylie; and long term caregivers, Donna Muncy and Patricia Putignano.
