John Carroll Philyaw

Lenoir – John Carroll Philyaw, 68, of Collettsville, passed away on January 28, 2019 at Caldwell Hospice Center of Lenoir. Carroll was born on August 11, 1950 to the late Floyd and Hazel Philyaw of Collettsville. Carroll was a beloved father, brother and friend to many, and will be missed by all those who knew him. Carroll, in addition to his parents, is preceded in death by many beloved brothers, sisters, and a son. Carroll is survived by a son, several brothers and sisters, and many loving family and friends. There will be a celebration of life for Carrol held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Lenoir Community Church. The family will receive friends and family at the church two hours prior to the service.
