John Ray Herman

 Lenoir, NC- Mr. John Ray Herman, age 88, of Lenoir passed away on Friday, July 17, 2009 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born in Burke county on February 28, 1921, John was the son of the late F.A. and Dollie McRary Herman. John had worked for 47, years at Kincaid Furniture. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte Pearson Herman; a son, Donnie Lee Herman; he was also preceded by numerous brothers and sisters. He is survived by three daughters and a son in law, Sylvia Lewis of Hudson, Teresa and Kenneth Anderson of Granite Falls, and Denise Cloer of Raleigh; two sons, Terry Ray Herman of Lenoir, and Timothy McNeary Herman of Spruce Pines; John is also survived by 11 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous other relatives.  A graveside service for Mr. Herman will take place at Blue Ridge Memorial Park on Monday, July 20, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Daniel Buchanan and Jimmy Hamby.
