John Junior Dula

Lenoir- John Junior Dula, age 83, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Caldwell Hospice. He was born in Caldwell County on November 11, 1936 to the late Grover John Dula and Clara Hatton Dula. John was an active member of Clearview Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was the founder of David’s Sanitation Service in 1977. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Retha Dula; brother, Roger Dula; sister, Evelyn Dula Goble; and granddaughter, Christian Watters. John is survived by his daughters, Diane West and husband, Richard; Glenda Dula; son, John David Dula; brothers, Sam Dula and wife, Gail; Joe Dula; sister, Debbie Jenkins and husband, Bill; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service for John will be held at Clearview Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at 3:30 PM with Pastor Geoff Day, Pastor John Pritchard and Pastor Mark Dula officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard and the United States Marine Corps.
