John Houston Crump

Hudson – John Houston Crump, age 81, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care. He was born in Caldwell County on January 19, 1934 to the late Houston E. Crump and Barbara Barber Crump. He was married to Lottie Moretz Crump of the home. Mr. Crump was a veteran of the United States Army. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe and Wesley Crump. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Jeffrey Crump; sister, Dean Hall Galloway; sister, Carol Fletcher; brother, Jerry Crump; grandchildren, Derek Crump; Lacey Crump and Shannon Johnson; great-grandchildren, Emma, Riley and Addison Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 at Christ Church, 2416 Zion Church Road, Hickory, NC 28602. A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Hickory on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Jim Hamby officiating.
