Joe Meek Rice

Joe Meek Rice(Chaser), 65, of Caldwell County NC, passed away on December 3, 2023, in Lenoir, NC.

He was born on February 27, 1958, in Salisbury, NC.

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Jody Lutz; his son, Joseph Rice; his daughters, Melanie Rice (Cedric) and Stephanie Sisk (Jeff); his son, Devon Rice; his stepson, Christopher Lutz; his grandsons, David (dj) Rhinehardt and Demarcus Rice; his sister, Brenda Bumgarner; and his brother, Mark Rice.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Mary Rice; brothers, Ronald Rice, Timothy Rice, Micheal Rice, and his "brother," Lee Kilby. Joe "Chaser"

Rice will be remembered for his love and dedication to his family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Chaser's one of a kind personality touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
