Joe Roy Mitchell

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Joe Roy Mitchell, age 60, of Lenoir, died Friday, February 16, 2007 in Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Born May 2, 1946 in Caldwell County, Mr. Mitchell was a son of the late Warren Hardin and Lillie Belle Moser Mitchell and the husband of Judy Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell was employed with B & E Woodturning. Other than his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Sandy Parsons and husband Joe of Hudson; Angie Puckett of Lenoir; 1 son, Tommy Mitchell and wife Trudy of Hudson; 6 sisters, Novella Hendrix and husband Jimmy of Cajah?s Mtn.; Mary Cox and husband Ed of Lenoir; Jewel Shatley of Collettesville; Kay Ellison of Cajah?s Mtn.; Lillian Ellison of Arizona; Brenda Wilson and husband Ernie of Lenoir; 3 brothers, Earl Mitchell and wife Claudette; Louis Mitchell and wife Kim; Norman Mitchell all of Lenoir; 10 Grandchildren and one Great-Grandchild. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Mitchell. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Sunday, February 18, 2007 at Refuge Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Jerry Woodie and Reverend Hubert Shew officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 until 3:00 prior to the service at the church.
