Joann Benge

Ms. Joann Benge, age 62, of Lenoir passed away on August 20, 2018 at her home. Born June 20, 1956 in Caldwell County, Joann was a daughter of the late Howard Stanley and Margaret Horn Benge.Joann was a former furniture inspector for many years and was employed by Paul Roberts.Joann loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Lee Benge. Survivors include her children, Kelly Hollander, husband Jason, of Granite Falls, and Kenneth Cogdell of Lenoir; a sister, Rosemary Williams of Hickory; a brother, Tommy William Benge of Granite Falls; her grandchildren, Erica Haas, Seth Haas, Jacob Hollander; two great grandchildren, Brianna Bentley and Marianna Trejo; she is also survived by numerous other relatives. A memorial service celebrating Joann’s life will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service.
