Jimmie Broyhill

Lenoir – Mr. Jimmie Donald Broyhill, age 68, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in Asheville. He was born in Watauga County on March 27, 1948 to Verdie Yates Broyhill and the late J.D. Broyhill. He is survived by his wife Reggielene Broyhill of the home. He also had two children Scott Broyhill of Florida, and Gerald Holland and wife Tammy of Lenoir. Two siblings; Janice Icenhour and husband Bill of Tennessee, and Jack Broyhill and wife Kate of Lenoir. He has one granddaughter Laura Holland also of Lenoir. Mr. Broyhill was a Vietnam Veteran and an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish and was also a member of a hunting club. He was a former employee of Kincaid Furniture where he worked for many years. A funeral service honoring Mr. Broyhill’s life will be held at the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Reverend Jimmy Duffey officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Pallbearers will be Scott Batson, John Cole, Jonathan Cole, Tommy Madron, and Joseph Icenhour.
