Hudson, NC- Mr. Jim Beane, age 79, of Hudson, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Caldwell Hospice in Hudson. Mr. Beane had worked with the Lenoir Police department and the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department. He was a Captain of the Detective Division, which he also helped to create. He was a special investigator to 25th District under the supervision of Donald Greene. He also served with the Hudson Police Department. Mr. Beane retired from law enforcement as a chief disciplinary officer with the North Carolina Department of Public Safety Division of Prisons. He is survived by his wife Joyce Barber Beane of the Home; a daughter, Lee Ann Beane McRary (husband Joey); two granddaughters, Jodi Bentley (husband Jeffrey) and Alissa Martin; a special niece, Allison Camp Greene. There will be no services held at this time. Memorials can be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care at 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
